Phaidon Press Ltd, 2013
Vitamin D2 is an international survey of contemporary drawing that features the work of 115 artists working internationally who were nominated by over 70 respected arts professionals including museum and gallery directors, independent curators, academics and critics. Newly commissioned texts by 45 writers accompany the pages of each of the featured artists, along with an introductory essay by Christian Rattemeyer, Associate Curator of Drawings at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Vitamin D2 is a sequel to Phaidon’s Vitamin D (2005) – one of the most influential contemporary art publications of all time. It is both a reference book for the art world and an accessible introduction for newcomers to the scene. The book was commissioned by Craig Garrett, edited by Matt Price, designed by Julia Hasting with Sandra Zellmer, and produced by Vanessa Todd.
