Some Domestic Incidents – An Exhibition of New Painting from Britain
Prague Biennale 5, summer 2011, and MAC Birmingham, autumn 2011
Featuring work by Oliver Clegg, Graham Chorlton, Anna M R Freeman, Phil Hale, Justin Mortimer, Sally Payen and Caroline Walker, the exhibition took place at the former Microna factory in the suburbs of Prague as part of the Prague Biennale 5. Following this, the show travelled to MAC Birmingham, UK, where additional and new works were presented. A publication accompanied the biennale, including a section on Some Domestic Incidents. The exhibition received positive critical reception, including from Travis Jeppesen in his review for artforum.com. The exhibition was curated by Matt Price with assistance from Charlie Levine, and was supported by Arts Council England.
